The newest addition to our family has, of course, added a new dimension to us. My nephew John H. Kinnaird III was blessed w/ his first child yesterday, a boy: John H. Kinnaird IV. That makes me a great uncle (not to be confused with carbuncle), but the best of all is that it make my bro a GRANDFATHER. How fun is that?
I'm looking forward to much ribbing and name-calling, and in future he will be referred to as "Grandpa."

Here's the blessing:

The middle initial "H" stands for Harding. The plan is to call this lad by his middle name--so, thanks for looking at Harding.

Steve

Congrats! Now how about the stats...upper bout, lower bout, overall length...I mean, this IS a luthier's forum! (Best leave out the scale length on this one...it'd be unseemly....). Seriously, what a joy! I know you're very proud!

How's the tap tone on this one? I bet it WAILS when thumped. (sorry, I've got a pretty sick sense of humor)
Congrats Steve and to you too John. Best wishes for the health and well being of the lad.

Hello all

It's been a while. Thanks for the warm wishes. Sam, you are right on, 8 pounds and 5 oz. Sounds like you have some experience.
My brother warned me he would publish this pic and lo and behold, he did it. Grunkle or Carbuncle eh.

Congrats to the Kinnaird family all around.

I love to see the newborn pics, that was us almost 1 year ago.

Good to see you back John, please don't be a strainger.

Yeah, bro--what Rod said.

Thanks everyone--I'm really looking forward to meeting this little guy over the Christmas break.
Paul, I'll thump lightly on him and see what kind of resonance he's got to offer.

Steve
